Our Story

Every fire begins as an ember.

Great things rarely begin fully formed. They begin quietly—with belief, discipline, and the decision to keep moving forward.

Where it began

EmberRise did not begin as a company. It began as a question. For years, life followed a familiar rhythm: work hard, build a career, provide, handle responsibilities, and keep moving forward. There was—and still is—gratitude for everything that path made possible. But over time, one thing became increasingly difficult to ignore: Time. Long days became weeks. Weeks became years. Weekends seemed to disappear almost as quickly as they arrived, and work did not always end when the workday did. There was nothing unusual about that life. Millions of people live it every day. But part of me continued to wonder: Does providing for the people you love always have to require giving so much of your time away from them? That question would eventually become the beginning of EmberRise.

A Different Possibility

Around 2020, I discovered stock trading almost by accident. What began with a few videos quickly became genuine curiosity. I wanted to understand what these traders were doing, how markets moved, why prices rose and fell, and whether trading was something an ordinary person could actually learn. The more I learned, the more fascinated I became. Charts stopped looking random. I began learning about trends, momentum, consolidation, technical indicators, and the behavior of price and volume. But what captured me most wasn't simply the possibility of making money. It was the possibility of earning differently. For the first time, I began to imagine a future where providing for my family didn't necessarily require giving an entire day of my life in exchange. Could I build a different way to provide—and, in doing so, create more time for the people who mattered most? That possibility became the ember.

Feeding the Ember

Learning to trade was not a straight path. I spent years studying, experimenting, paper trading, watching other traders, learning different strategies, and taking pieces from each approach that made sense to me. Eventually, life became busier. The market moved into the background. The belief that I could actually make this work began to fade with it. For a while, the dream started to feel unrealistic—something I had once been excited about but perhaps needed to accept wasn't going to happen. But the idea never completely disappeared. The ember was still there.

Building Something of My Own

Years later, new technology gave me a way to approach the problem differently. I discovered that the trading platform I had been using could be customized far beyond what I originally understood. With modern AI tools helping me learn and write code, I began experimenting with ThinkScript and asking a simple question: Could I take what I had learned about trading and turn it into a system of my own? That question brought the obsession back. I began building custom indicators. Then scanners. Then filters. Then custom order strategies. I tested ideas. They failed. I changed them. They failed again. I reviewed charts after the market closed, studied stocks that had made extraordinary moves, searched for characteristics they shared, modified the system, and tested again. Much of that work happened whenever life allowed it—early mornings, evenings, days off, and whatever spare time could be found. There was no breakthrough moment where everything suddenly worked. There was simply a decision to keep going.

Why EmberRise

Eventually, what I was building became larger than a collection of trading tools. It represented something. When the name EmberRise emerged, it felt right almost immediately. An ember is small. It can appear insignificant. It doesn't look particularly powerful, and without the right conditions, it can simply fade away. But feed it. Give it oxygen. Protect it long enough. And that same ember has the potential to become a fire. That is what EmberRise represents to me. The ember is the dream. The years of learning, building, failing, adjusting, testing, and continuing are the fuel. And the rise is the belief that something small, given enough persistence and the right conditions, can eventually become something far greater than where it began.

More Than Money

Of course, I want EmberRise to succeed financially. Pretending otherwise wouldn't be truthful. But money was never the entire dream. The deeper goal has always been time. Time to wake up without an entire day already belonging to a schedule. Time to be present. Time to travel. Time to pursue other ideas. Time to spend with family without constantly measuring life against when work begins again. There are many things money can replace. Time is not one of them. That is ultimately what I am trying to build through EmberRise: not simply another source of income, but the possibility of greater ownership over my own time.

Still Rising

This story does not end with: “And then I became a successful trader.” Not yet. EmberRise is being built while the outcome is still unknown. The LLC has been formed. The system is being developed. The scanners are being refined. Strategies are being tested. Ideas continue to fail, improve, evolve, and sometimes surprise me. There are still days when the goal feels incredibly close and others when it feels impossibly far away. But that's precisely why this story matters now. EmberRise isn't the story of someone looking backward after succeeding and making the journey sound inevitable. It's the story of someone still trying. Still learning. Still building. Still feeding the ember. Because I believe that what looks small today can become something much greater tomorrow. Every fire begins as an ember.

And this one is still rising.
